Purgarth

One of many structured realities to emerge from Xao, four key Poles define Purgarth; that of Swords, Wands, Cups and Coins. Each of these is marked by one of the Polar Towers and though the Confederation thinks highly of itself, it in fact controls relatively little of Purgarth; acting chiefly as a major power around the Pole of Swords. Here the great prairie stretches out across endless leagues ringed chiefly by the frozen wastes of the north approaching the Pole of Wands and the burning deserts of the south approaching the Pole of Cups. Here the grasses of the land are a kaleidoscope of colours; shifting with the seasons from the blazing orange of the summer to the whites of winter. For the Kahit savages, the wind that whipped across these lands – sweeping down from the Tower of Swords was a god of swords; the great howling Grandfather Wendigo.
